Mugs of the World | Garden of Mexico

This mug celebrates the joy and color of Mexican folk art. 

Inspired by traditional embroidery from the state of Hidalgo, the design depicts a small garden full of vibrant flowers and stylized animals, surrounded by a decorative border reminiscent of the Tenango embroidery style.

The intense hues—reds, turquoises, yellows, and greens—evoke the rich color palette of Mexican craftsmanship and the luminous energy of spring.

This design also holds a very special meaning for me. Years ago, my sister-in-law gave us an embroidered cloth from Hidalgo with colors very similar to those in this illustration. We have treasured it ever since, and its beauty and warmth were the inspiration for creating this piece.
